Weekly pollen and fungal spore forecast summary

 Forecast to 4th April 2025:  Pollen: tree pollen moderate; Spores: Aspergillus moderate/high.

Grass Pollen Count - Low

 Pollen forecast for grass with a low green pollen count.

Grass pollen season will begin in April or May.

Tree Pollen Count - Moderate

 Pollen forecast for trees with a high orange pollen count.

Warm weather will bring on the onset of the birch pollen season, with high risk likely from the weekend onwards in the south and central areas, soon spreading to the central northern regions. Ash pollen will also be airborne.

Fungal Spore Levels - High

Pollen forecast for spores with a high orange pollen count.

The risk from Aspergillus/penicillium types is expected to reduce as we move into April but may remain high during this forecast period. Pleospora will be airborne during mild, dry weather and will be rising into peak season. Some Leptosphaeria and allies (AKA wet weather spores) may start to appear after rainfall.

Weed Pollen Count - Low

Pollen forecast for weeds with a low green pollen count.

Weed pollen season will begin in April or May.
