Sharon is module leader for PGCE English at the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ and teaches on all the post-graduate, undergraduate and School Direct English modules. She also supports the development of English in primary schools across the Midlands through leading English CPD, including a termly network meeting for primary and middle school English Subject Leaders in the area. Sharon is also the PGCE Later Years Cohort Leader.
For 20 years, Sharon taught English in primary and middle schools across Worcestershire as well as overseas; she was Head of English in three different schools and worked as a Lead Teacher for English with the Local Authority. She joined the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ in 2016.

Teaching & Research
Sharon teaches across all English modules on the undergraduate and post-graduate courses. She leads the Primary PGCE English module which was awarded the ‘Module Excellence Award’ in the Student’s Choice Awards 2019.
Passionate about creative and engaging English teaching, Sharon is CPD lead for English, supporting local schools to develop their own English provision. She also works alongside Cheltenham Festivals with the ‘reading teachers=reading pupils’ event.
