I have worked in the Health and Wellbeing department for a number of years after being a student in the same department studying a Foundation Degree myself. Since graduating with my top-up BA I have also studied a PG Cert and a Masters whilst working as an Associate Lecturer in the department across a number of courses like the Foundation Degrees in Health and Social Care, Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Mental Health and the Foundation Year in Healthcare. I now primarily work as a Work Based Learning Tutor helping students with their placements. My background is working with disability in particular children with learning disabilities.

Teaching Interests
I now primarily teach on the various work based learning modules in the department but I have also taught on a range of other modules covering topics such as study skills, communication, ethical practice, teamworking, diversity and equality and professionalism in care and healthcare. Alongside work based learning I also have a keen interest for teaching in the areas of disability and learning disability especially.
Research Interests
I have completed some pieces of research as part of my academic studies including seating choices in lecture theatres, being a professional male carer for children with learning disabilities and most recently looking at the impact of Turner Syndrome at university.
