Alyson has been a qualified social worker for over 20 years and spent most of her ‘frontline’ career with adults in both the statutory and private/voluntary sector. Whilst in practice she enjoyed working with students on placement which led her to becoming a Practice Educator. This further prompted her to make her way into social work education and she has been with the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ for nearly 10 years. Alyson loves what she does but when she is not at work, she watches a lot of Korean drama (K-drama), listen to K-pop (she places the responsibility for that at her daughter!) and she is generally quite creative. Alyson also has 4 mad but gorgeous cats. She looks forward to welcoming you to your studies.
