Managers from Local Employer Complete New Development Programme with ¹ú²úÊÓƵ

The managers, from Herefordshire-based Oakwrights, attended a special awards ceremony at the Business School's historic City Campus to collect their University Diploma in Leadership and Management.

The diploma was an adaptation of the University's established Leading to Excellence management development programme, and was delivered at Oakwrights" Herefordshire show house and head office in Swainshill.

Bill Keir, the Commercial Director for Oakwrights, said: "The ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Business School's approach allowed us to take time to fully understand the business need and together we developed a solution to achieve our leadership and development objectives. As an employer, Oakwrights is committed to the development of our people and this is a good example of our approach."

Tim Maxfield, Director of Business Development in the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ's Business School, added: "We are delighted to have worked with Oakwrights. This type of programme emphasises the role the Business School can play in the development of the local and regional economy.

"Up-skilling in the area of leadership and management is a high priority in the West Midlands and this programme presents a model of partnership that does a great deal to address this need."
